At the festival, particular care is paid to newcomer filmmakers presenting their debut films for competition consideration. Now, an innovative new initiative – Together Again – will showcase directors who first premiered at the festival and their subsequent efforts.

In contrast, its national Checkers competition program offers support to Croatian up-and-coming filmmakers.
